Just because people keep buying them doesn't mean they'll continue to be made.  Many products are replaced with a next-generation, not-necessarily-backward-compatible product while demand is still strong.

 15 years they will be obsolete and a new kid on the block will come along.
 Just look back 15 years and see how much of that stuff is still being made.
