<Ceramic Vac Variables, 5KW out looks like CCS. $10K is not a bad price
for what's there. No, it's not for everyone and a bit out of my league,
but when I total up what I've invested into ham gear, rigs, amps,
towers, coax, concrete, connectors, and test equipment, I had to stop
and realize just how much Ham Radio had cost me in my over 56 years as a
Ham. It was more than a bit of a surprise!

## It is 5 kw CCS output. Thats why it weighs 235 lbs. Its the real deal.
No auto tune, but with 14 x pre-sets, its ample. Amp goes into another room, rolls
around on casters. Meanwhile the 7.8 lb control box sits on the desk.
Way better built than the henry 8k-ultra ever was. A silver plated, teflon
SO-239 will easily handle 5 kw. Just make sure you use the mating silver-teflon
male plugs. They will install a 7-16 din if you want.

## bang for the buck, it makes the Alpha 9500, at $2k less, look like a
sick puppy. Better deal than the OM-4000, for what you get. No need to dump 95 lbs
on your desk. No torroids to blow up, no 3 min warm up, cant be over driven.

## That 3CX-3000A7 isnt even doing anything at that power level. The tube is rated for
2.5 A CCS...and they are only running it at 1.4A. That tube will last 25 years.
