When I was in my early 20's (1955) I worked for Metro Electronics. They were located on the corner of Cortland and Varick Streets. Down the block was Leed's electronics. "Pop" Leeds owned the business which specialised in surplus electronics as did many others in the same area. Years later the area was leveled to make way for the World Trade Towers.


Nice to know Leed's Electronics are still in business.
