The power output the amplifier is capable of is not regulated.  However, no amateur radio operator can legally operate the equipment at more than 1500-watts peak power output except, of course, on the 30-meter band or on bands that effective radiated power are restricted and the effective radiated power would be in excess of the maximum in the regulations.

Then what you are saying is that any amp capable of doing more than 1500
watts should be illegal in the U.S. by those standards.  73
