I’ll look into the skeleton slot — thanks.  Now callsigns…  If you reside in the People’s Democratic Republic of Canada, perhaps I can arrange for a transfer of VE7ASS to you/your wife upon my demise. You might be interested in some of my other calls too: VE7POO and VE7SPY. POO and ASS are kind of a matched set so take both if you can.  Of course you don’t seem to disclose your call, so I don’t know where you are <g>.

His  SB-200, once tweaked correctly, should easily be able to put out  600w on CW, measured at the amp itself.   But I believe jerome wants to operate some data modes on 30M band.... which the SB-200  was never designed for.   Maybe  300-500 watts max, depending on duty cycle. 


Jim is absolutely correct about my intent — I’ve been on 30 with FT8 usually picking times when the band is ‘dead’ — when only weak ones are barely visible on the waterfall, and there and then, the difference between a barefoot 75w and an actual 200+w is substantial.
