Subject: [Amps] Attenuation of signal

<The Amp International LK500-ZC which I picked up couple weeks ago has
<another issue besides the fan. Running an FT-1000mp with it. When I tune in
<a cw signal that is S7 and then put the amp online in standby the received
<signal will drop two S units, S5. What could cause this or areas to check.

## I was going to say the relay contacts..... BUT u indicated the signals are good on RX, with
amp powered OFF. This baffles me. With amp on..and on stby, sigs should not drop. What happens
if u toggle the ptt several times, to activate the relays several times ?? It could still be a dirty contact.

## On my hb amps, I use a vac relay on the input side..and also the output side..ans a 3rd vac relay for the
cut off bias. Then no more int bad contacts on RX issues ever again. Then u can also incorporate
qsk at the same time..if required.
