PS   To answer your question about an increased wattage fan, yes this 
will affect the operation of the fan during the turned off amp cooling 
sequence when the voltage to the fan is supplied from 240V through the 
thermal switch and  via dropping resistors when you are running on 
240V.  During cooling, an increased wattage fan will run slower due to 
the increased voltage drop across the standard sized dropper resistors.
