[Amps] SS Amps are expensive...why?

A coup[le of things come to mind:  They require both a harmonic filter
and an antenna tuner, neither of which is required by a tube type amp.
The pi network in a tube amp takes care of both functions. 

Also, I think in most SS amps, more engineering is required.
