Lou, W1QJ,  King Conversions, did my "SB-226" conversion.  It's good for
more than 600W out for sure ;-)

 

Very happy with Lou and his work.  I am not sure if he'd be willing to share
some of his secrets, (or paying some amount for consultation might be fair)
or you could just arrange for him to finish the job for you.
