[Amps] single phase into 3 phase transformer

is the transformer delta-wye?  wye-wye? delta-delta? etc. etc....

are two unique wires available per winding?
are any windings center tapped?

IF you are trying to wire in single phase and get three phase out - tilt.

What is the preferred method to wire a 3 phase transformer to operate off of
single phase?
I have heard of several possibilities and happen to have a mess of multi kW
three phase HV transformers.
