Jim, regarding below, I was referring to the opinions seen in this 
thread by list members regarding appliance connections,

and not opinions by Electrical standard regulators.

Misguided opinions are addressed in response by the safety standards I 
mentioned.

I would have thought that was obvious., but surprised by your "It's NOT 
a matter of opinion, it's law" retort

comment, which does not relate to my post, read in it's entirety.
