The future course will be the cannibalization of existing amplifiers which worth much more parted out than in one piece. You already see this going on with SB-220's.
There are plenty of tubes around. They are just sitting inside amplifiers, many of which are sitting on shelves unused. I know a local guy who has two AL-1200's, an Acom 2000A, and a new KPA-1500.
