Yes. Agreed.

For us non US folks, Ebay is your easiest source of those types of screws.

I actually bought shiny stainless steel ones for my AL-1500.

I also bought a set of three 6/32 taps as I had a couple of the original 
screws busted off. I filed the stubs flat with the chassis and then was 
lucky enough to drill them out cleanly. A quick follow through with the 
bottoming tap and I was back in business.
