Regarding "pre-distortion".

Adjusting an amplifier's input signal to compensate for compression and
other nonlinearities let's us run an amp to almost the point of saturation.
A cleaner signal with  more gain from a cheaper amp! What's not to love!


I could be wrong. But,
I don't see why removal of some power supply ripple can't be accommodated.
So long I avoid saturation.

Busy with other projects so will have to give it some additional thought as
time permits.

As an aside, if anyone is into 70s electronic music or signal processing
hardware, I have some new old stock AT&T surplus BJTs that may be familiar.
