[Amps] Amps Digest, Vol 274, Issue 8

Given the current draw expected by each transformer that would be a rather large variac I would think. Isn't just wiring the two in series a better plan? I'm trying to imagine the weaknesses of doing that and I can't think of any. Anyone educate me on what I'm missing? MarkDe wa3jpy
