I used a "long neck" beer bottle set in concrete for my base. used a long
brass screw in a SO-239 and a drilled and tapped hole in the pipe for my
feed point. I ran heavy stranded jumper wires from the shell of the SO-239
to a grounding ring made from #4 stranded, to which I soldered my 34'
radials.

.105 dia. Grass trimmer line is cheaper than dacron and just as strong!

"Communications" is a People skill, the rest is technology.
