Those who would like to play for free with a Nec2/Nec4 based antenna
modelling package without having to worry about exceeding the maximum
segment limit, could take a look at 4nec2 
( http://home.ict.nl/~arivoors/ ).

Concerning the number of segments to use per wavelengt, 4nec2 contains an
automatic mechanism to check if Nec2 guidelines are violated.

Note however that 4nec2 might require some more learning efforts.
