[Antennaware] should i cover cushcraft traps ?

Hi Guys
I just  picked up a nice A3 Cushcraft Trap Beam.. i was wondering about Putting Shrink Wrap/Tubing on the 12 Traps to make them Water Proof. (maybe open the drain wholes)
any Ideas !
I live in Vanouver Washigton USA where it Rain all the Time, Everything get real Wet!
