SAC SSB contra CQ WW RTTY
Gentlemen / Grabbar
I've been following the topic debate with a great interest. Maybe the
world has moved already in a direction to recognize the development
on contesting field as well.
The fact is that SAC with regional event status hardly in the future can
defense it's two full weekend occupation against the global world
leading RTTY contest.
If you don't realize that, try to create a new challenging test to the
CQ WW CW or SSB weekend. All three mode (3) CQ WW's are w o r l d w i d
e and hold their important values.
BTW. Jan SM3CER says in his mailing he is an active RTTY man who
understands this mode and set a great value to the RTTY.
I don't quite follow him. After doing a lot more than 1000 Contest Qsos
during year 2003, can not find his call sign ever in my RTTY logs.
Maybe Janne is still more CW /SSB oriented guy having some narrower
point of view to the growing RTTY Contesting.
I strongly flag for mixed one weekend SAC and appreciate
the CQ WW RTTY the other weekend.
I would like to work and take part in SAC, too. Whenever have to
make a choice I prefer the RTTY.
----
