[CCF] SAC as is

Hi

My opinion is that CQ WW RTTY or any other
contest would qualify as a reason for shifting
SAC weekends.

The number of post- and pre-contest complaints
about SAC SSB conflicting with the RRTY contest seems to be
highly correlated with sunspots (having followed the
discussion now for the last 20 years). Only during the
sunspot maxima will 20 m stay open during the night
hours and then is SSB fun - it leaves some spectrum for the
regular stns to operate and enjoy SSB. This is actually
why I wouldn't bother working any SSB contest from OH when
flux is below 150.

The S/N of CW and RTTY (I think - really donno) alike are something
different in comparison to the crowded SSB bands. VE9DX
had 30 W and a butternutt when we worked on CW in SAC CW
a week ago.

I think that many (non-serious contesters) can do a bit of both:
SAC SSB and CQ WW RTTY in one weekend, and for those who whish
to win CQ WW RTTY or SAC, it is a matter of selection.
