 Maybe the activity in RTTY contests is still considered bit lower than in
traditional mode contests. So they think there is not enough stations
available for 36/48 hours?
Anyway I'm personally very happy about that time restriction. It will
equalize the conditions for our benefit. With a competitive (but
non-monster) station up here in OH it's hard to maintain decent rates even
for 30 hours with current solar activity. And as you know in better
location even inside Europe it's possible to maintain the rate even full
48 hours. So we might be able to fight more seriously against our southern
competitors when op time is limited to 30 hours.
