Comments:

This was a single-radio, single-VFO, single-tower operation. Being  
accustomed to
SO2R operation it was an interesting challenge to try to optimize the effort
with a different kind of setup. The station performed flawlessly, while the
operator did not.

I was in fact going to take it easy in this SAC and even sleep a couple of
hours, but little by little I got sucked into the fun of the game  
after all...!
Conditions were very good before the contest, but it seems it was all a big
setup by Lady Aurora: within moments from the start the bands were filled with
polar flutter due to the incoming CME. Then again, what else can we expect in
the "Polar Battle," as SAC was dubbed for this year. Very nice to hear  
a lot of
activity from Scandinavian stations in any case.
