On vauhti jo sellainen, että fysiikkakin on koetuksella. Zf1mj kopitti hyvin kaiken lisäksi. Zb2x sai noin 3250 Q ja 920.000 pistettä. Hävisin z60ww:olle. Siis 40 m single band. Meillä oli 4squaret kummallakin. Kuva ohessa. 73 Jorma

Huikea on ollut kusovauhti.
Minulta meni 160m bandilla monta minuuttia ennen kuin kopitin hänen
kutsunsa, vaikka kuulin sen monta kertaa. Kuuli kyllä ja vastasi muutaman
kutsun jälkeen.
Sähkötysvauhdillakin on rajansa silloin, kun signaali ei ole kovin voimakas
ja bandin pohjakohina vaikeuttaa CW:n lukua.

Comments:
A huge thanks to everyone who assisted me in getting prepared for the
contest.
Those include K6AM, ZF1EJ and CARS, ZF1RC, W6VNR, ZF1DJ, KL9A, K3LR, KM3T,
N6TV, N2NL, W6YI, W6TMD, N9JA and Icom, and KK6SCE. Most people who know
me, know that I am not skilled technically so some simple things for others
may come as a challenge for me. Without everybody's help, there would be no
way for this operation to have happened. I was able to bring down a pair of
IC 7800's thanks to the enormous help of ICOM and Ray, N9JA. I know a lot
of people questioned my sanity when they heard I was bringing these radios
down,
but I really feel they helped me tremendously.
This was my first shot at being single op from the DX side. I was extremely
lucky to be offered the seat at ZF1A. The goal for the contest was to
successfully operate in a dual CQ environment at high rates on both radios.
In order to prepare for this, I practiced with 2 laptops running MorseRunner
on each side over the last few months. I was actually quite surprised how
life like MorseRunner was as compared to actual operating. I was able to
control the pile up just like as if I was using the program. Having this
training was an enormous help.
Everything at the station worked great. Andrew ZF1EJ was a big help in
getting the beverages and the temporary 160m antenna up. It was a lot of
work but well worth it.
Congrats to all the other high scorers out there! Also thanks to everyone
who moved for me. Not all the moves worked, however almost everybody at
least tried to QSY for me.
It was an honor operating from the ZF1A shack. I hope to be back here again
in the future.
