-------------------
COULD YOU RECOGNIZE THE POLAR BATTLE WHERE THE ICE BEARS DANCE AND GO AGAINST EACH OTHER?

It is the Scandinavian Activity Contest (SAC) happening in the Far North.

CW: September 16-17 1200- 1159 UTC SSB: October 14-15, 1200 - 1159 UTC

The battle is organized as a QSO party but it is actually a lot more than that. Your friends from LA, OH, OZ, SM and TF are all at arms and fighting for their country's standing but also for proving their own radio skills. It is not only a fight on the radio spectrum alone but also a fight against mother nature: lady Aurora (Northern Lights) is sometimes hanging above the region. Northern Lights look beautiful and mysterious but they make our beloved radio spectrum sound like one big hiss of white RF noise. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aurora

We predict that the 2023 SAC contest will be different, as we were absent in 2022. We are back with a SAC that has polished rules and log checking procedures that are now similar with the best contests, such as CQWW. We sincerely thank Ken, K1EA for assisting us in making SAC log checking better than ever.

But we need Your participation! Come along and join into the Northern brothers' fun! It will be a contest to remember! Along with the EU participation in full force we predict that a lot of DX will be present in the contest. So just jump into it and have fun and be active during your propagation window to the Far North.

Remember that the Arctic Circle is crossing all these Northern countries: LA, OH, SM and TF. These lands are on same latitude as Anchorage, Alaska and they all struggle constantly with the ice and snow. They are looking forward in working You during the two big SAC weekends (CW and SSB)!

Warmest regards
