There were only four stations participating from the US:
K3ZO (SO-MB-CW) 58.719, N6IC (20m-cw) 550, 20m-MIX K2PS -5.061,
& WA2LBT -65ps.
I remember one more K3WW. But no log listed. The funny story is the propaga-
tion was very bad indeed. The only qso with Fred K3ZO was on 7 MHz. And I tried
to call K3WW but without a succses.
The other fun is when I swiched on 20m in the morning during the contest I
found that a transistor in RF amplifier blow of because of the previous night
lightning ( we had the biggest thundestorm I've ever seen ). After a little
time out I found that I had no any transistor of that kind home. But had a big
junk box & I made my wife serch for the transistors there operating the contest
my self. She spent a couple of hours but no result. The final is the propagation
was dull & the resceiver was dull on the hf bands. But the spirit and the will
were strong enough to ... have a can of beer after the contest finish.
