Contacts in your own country count only for multiplier, not for QSO points.

Because there are a LOT of K/W/N/A prefixes (potentially 107 in each of 10 
call areas), you'd like to work one of each (1070 multipliers), but even if 
you did, but worked no DX,
then your score would be ZERO (1070 x 0 = 0).

However, once you work your first K0, all other K0's are a waste of your 
time.
