Does anyone have a fan assembly for a TS940 that they would like
to sell or donate. This is the fan assembly for the finals and not the
power supply. Mine passed away.
I would appreciate it if someone could send me the phone # for
Kenwood so i can order a fan assembly if noone has a used one kicking
around.
Please send info to me direct and not to the reflector. Thanks.

With respect a recent posting concerning TIC (RingRotor fame),
I was concerned about the thought that TIC was in trouble. I
am a loyal, long term, satisfied customer of TIC and I am
depending upon them for continued support of the 11 Ring Rotors
at K3LR.

I spoke to Carl Anderson, President of TIC, today concerning
the status of an outstanding order that I have. We also
discussed an overview of the company's current position and
where they see the future.

When asked about Glenn Martin purchasing TIC, Carl replied that
there have been no discussions with Glenn Martin concerning the
pruchase of the TIC ring patents and or business. He didn't know
who Glenn Martin was.

Carl related that at different periods over the last few years,
cash flow has been a concern, but never at the point of closing
the doors. He commented that their current financial status is
sound, and is hopefull that it will continue to get better. They
have made progress in manufacturing more of the ring rotor parts
in house recently and that has created additional delivery delays.

It appears that TIC will be around for some time. Of all the rotors
we use( 16 total), the TIC rings are the best performers. I have
had no serious problems, they install fast and easy, and during
multi-multi events I always get great comments about how nice
they work.

Since the CQWW SSB results have been published I have fielded a few
comments regarding the K4VX/0 entry for CQWW SSB.

I did not operate that test. WX9E was the op on SSB.

Don't know why his call was omitted.

I operated the CW test from Lew's.

Oh yeah, Lew really could have done that score himself!

Subject: Radials
Message-ID: <199408192018.AA19250 at mail.crl.com>

I'm gonna shunt feed my largest tower for use on 160M. I had considered
using an elevated system of radials, but thought wires running all over the
place 10 feet above the ground didn't sit too well with me or the XYL.

So... I need some opinions on a few things...

1. How many radials & how long?
2. Type of wire? Insulated? Copper? Electric fence wire?
3. How do you bury these things without wearing yourself out in the
process? My tower is in the woods and won't have grass to hide the radials.
Just alot of covered ground.

I'll post the responses I get back to the reflector. I also got a great
article from W0UN that was from Low Band DXing that covers shunt feeding. I
will post information about it also.

Thanks
