Dave,

Don't worry a bit about arcing when operating the loop slightly off
resonance.  The maximum voltage you can develop is when the loop is exactly
at resonance.  The circulating currents (mostly in the tuner and feedline)
go up a bit but not to worry...  at 150W not enough to harm anything.  With
a manual tuner I have gone as far as 5:1 SWR away from resonance with no
noticeable degradation in either received or transmitted signal strength
(also no fires).
