I like Ward, N0AX's idea. One Saturday, one Sunday. As they say, variety is
the spice of life!

Count me in too. You know, this is exactly the kind of logic that might
be applied to CQWW and ARRL DX also-- pick weekends that aren't major
hoildays even though it might be a little less convenient.
Hmmm... is is worth pushing up the start time for the NA Sprint (the 4 hour
one) while we're at it, or will that make it less attractive for the
Left Coast?

WA2SYN states that 3000 watt users are wrong in using their logic ("everyone
is doing it") because "most of us are honest competitors".
He then tries to use their logic ("half of the single op unassisted operators
are probably monitoring the cluster") to promote a rewrite of the rules.
My question is - are the majority of us honest, or are we not? If the logic
used cannot validly support the first argument, then it most certainly cannot
support the second.

I vote no to Sunday sprints.
I think a weeknight would be best, that way none of my weekend would be
wasted on contesting.
I think Thursday is best:
Monday has football and I don't need the TVI complaints.
Tuesday I have a lot of meetings.
Wednesday is no good because a lot of folks in the south (and elsewhere?) go
to church.
Friday....heck no, that's the beginning of the weekend.
So, Thursday wins by default. Guess the west coasters will have to get off
work early!
(It's a JOKE! - It ain't broke on Saturday, why fix it?)
