There are no easy answers... Every decision has its tradeoffs.....
Phillystran is kevlar, which is incredibly strong and is difficult to cut...
I'm not sure that a 4000# steel (3/16 EHS) would have fared any better than
the kevlar when struck by a large falling object....Steel will have better
resistance to abrasion....
