The KLM KT34A is a reasonable performer. The wind survivability is 100
MPH so your concern should be with the supporting structure and not the
antenna. BTW, Hy-Gain antennas are rated at 100 MPH while the Cushcrafts are
rated at 80 MPH. According to my Atlas, you are in Niagra County which has a
relatively low TIA-222-E rating of 75 MPH. Your installation should be built
with this spec as the minimum criteria.
Other short boom tribanders you may want to consider are the A3/4 by
Cushcraft, TH3 by Hy-Gain or the new C3 by Force 12. The C3 may have some
advantages for you. Contact the factories for more info. The advantage of
the KT34A is the dual driven element feed that gives you more usable
bandwidth.
73 and Good Luck, Steve K7LXC

Message-ID: <9602211542.AA14579 at iroda1.westel900.hu>
Hi friends,
I would like to invite you to the HSC (High Speed Club) Contest which is held
on 25 February, 1996. The contest is wide open to everybody and does not
require QRQ. Due to the solar inactivity we missed the DX calls in the last
HSC tests. Please come and join...

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Some odds and ends to consider:
1, The output power used during the contest is limited to 150W output.
Please leave the amps off, this contest is for the dedicated CW fans
and is more a CW-op meeting than a killing race for the points...
2, Some of the participants reset his/her serial numbers to 001 at the
beginning of the second part of the contest in the afternoon. The official
rules doesn't deal with this issue. Do not let yourself misleaded by this.
3, Please keep the standard of the contest and do not call in the DX
bands (First 10 kHz from the lower band edge).
4, If you are interested in knowing more about the HSC or other CW clubs
(like VHSC, HA CW Group, MCWG etc) contact me directly and I can send you
all the info I have abou them via e-mail. You may find useful having a HSC
memberlist to check your contest log.
73 and cu in the test!
