NAQP team?

hello everyone;
Well Contest season is looming close, and with the NAQP almost upon us I was
wondering if any of the newer contesters out there would be interested in
forming a team? In the CW one. I may or may not do the SSB. With the likes of
W5WMU down here this is certainly a rough state. Though admitedly there are
fewer contesters here in Louisiana than in other parts of the country. My
closest competition is over 100 miles away in ANY direction. :) Unless of
course some of my FD efforts yielded contesters. At any rate is anyone
interested in either taking in a newer (havent contested in over 10 years since
I came into the army active duty) contester, or other newer contesters forming
a team for the CW NAQP?

Subject: Any military surplus store in NY tristate are???
Message-ID: <199607031313.QAA07239 at helios.intranet.GR>

 Dear Amateurs

I would like to know if there is any military surplus store or Amateur Radio
store in NY area (besides Barry's Store on Broadway in Manhattan,I have been
there It's a bit too expensive).

I will be coming to NY for a quick visit to my daughter in Long Island
and I am interested in finding a linear amp using a pair of 3 500z
(which is very forgivable tube to common mistakes like switching to wrong
antenna or high SWR) like TT Centurion or the one from Amerirton).

Any info will be greatly appreciated

Thank you in advance

I do realize that some scores do not look right, q's not matching up with
the score. I ONLY put down what someone sends me. I do not CORRECT scores
or try to figure them out unless that person sends me a correction.

ALL SCORES ARE LOW POWER UNLESS NOTED WITH A HP NEXT TO CALL!!!!!

This is my first attempt at the FD scores on here. I did breakdown the CW
and SSB contacts. I feel that this will be the majority of the contacts.
There just is not enough room to break down all the 2,6, 440, pkt, sat and
other contacts. Also not really enough room for all the Bonus pts. I did
not put the hours in since everyone should have done basically 24 hours.
Also I am sorry but I cannot put an op list on this one. Not sure there
would be enough bandwidth in my email if I started listing ops for some of
those 20A stations.

I will take any suggestions on this and if possible I will try to work
them in. Just remember that if I change something it means that I must go
back through all the email and reread them and update the scores. Can be
quite time comsuming.

PLEASE DO NOT FORGET TO PUT YOUR FULL EXCHANGE DOWN!!!! 1A,4D AND MO,SF
OR WHATEVER!!

The following is excerpted from an article in the Port St. Lucie News on
June 23:

"It [Field Day] is a contest of sorts" said John Bolduc, a member of the
Port St. Lucie Amateur Radio Association. He added: "Most of the
transmitters don't use electricity."

(I did NOT make this up!)
