Or why I could have done better in WRTC

Top 10 reasons why I didn't win the WRTC competition

10. The ground conductivity in (insert geographic area) was not as good
as (insert geographic area of winners)

9. Tests have shown that A3's and A4's have higher angles of radiation
than TH6's

8. There were line voltage fluctations, and my line voltage AVERAGED 2
volts lower than at the other WRTC stations. (P=EI)

7. I forgot to put my keyer in ***speedy*** mode for the RST and Zone.

6. I forgot my keyer altogether

5. I forgot the code altogether

4. (insert 1X1) was one block away, and was qrming me all weekend

3. There was a 7-11 next door open ALL NIGHT! Boy was the flourescent
noise a killer!

2. I was at the 7-11 next door ALL NIGHT!

And the number 1 reason why I didnt win the WRTC competition

1. Blah Blah Blah, Blah Blah, Blah ... that's why!

Any similarities of the excuses above and those actually received
(either past or future) is purely coincidental.

Hi All.

Only spent a couple hours in contest and hit 49+AH3 stns.

GREAT OP's! That's why it was so fun! Only had to send repeat call twice!
Love to listen to their cw. I wish....

Anyway, is there any program schedule for W9DXCC this year?
Any chance of a program on WRTC?

Congrats to the WRTC Group. GREAT JOB.

Hi all,

Worked only 42 of the 54 stations from here on Kauai; all
signals were weak on all bands. Got 31 on CW, and of those,
11 were only worked on CW. Got 31 on SSB, and again of those,
7 were worked only on SSB. Spent several enjoyable hours in
the pursuit. Got W1AW/3 at Frank's QTH early on, SSB on 20.

Stations never heard were: W6C, K6J, K6F, W6N, W6O, W6P, W6R, W6S,
K6U, and K6Y. Overlooked the wild card AH3's, didn't know better,
my fault, I had read, but overlooked that part of the rules.

Unfortunately for us out in the Pacific, this was not a direction
of prime targets for the contenders in WRTC around the SF area.
So we were on the back beam lobe, or worse, majority of the time.
Only able to hear 9 of the stations on 15, and only 2 on 10 meters.
All the SSB was on 20; CW divided between 20 and 40, with all the
40 CW during the last 2 1/3 hours of the test.
What a great way to spend a mostly rainy Saturday!

As many asked me to pass along any info I find out, here it is:
Nobody has received the WAEDC results book. Results were printed in
CQ-DL, and are reposted on LA9HW's Web site:
