STOP THE MADNESS!!!!!

Both of these are extremely old. This stuff has been floating around for
quite some time... It amazes me that folks can follow rare DX and tell you
the exact hour they will be on the air.. or when the first vanity
application was delivered, and not notice a virus warning that has
circulated for many months
via the internet, press (even the local news). I believe that I have seen
mention of them before on this very reflector.

...back to regularly scheduled programming...

Hello to ever and thank for read this
I am George I0YQV and I think to have little bit to write over PKzip300 and
Good Times problem.
First: I fully agree with Trey, WN4KKN who write:

>	Does my message have anything to do with contesting?

This mail list is totaly devoted to contest and specialy to CQ Contest and
is not the site to write over virii and similar software.

Second: PKzip 300 and Good times is NOT a virus! The first is Trojan horse
the secon is a Hoax. The first destry the FAT of the main hard disk but if
use mirror (by Norton utility or similar package) the damage is nullified.
The second not have anyone possibility to infect any disk by simply reading
E-MAIL message.
I am one of security manager of a big governamental agency in Italy and I
work everyday over virus, trojan and hackering on PC/LAN system. If anyone
have a problem write me DIRECTLY to my E-Mail address G.Force at flashnet.it.
For ending ... don't panic on this mail list. If you have panic write to:
panic at terror.net ;-)))
Sorry for spreading but I think to send this message for ending virus
message here.
All the many best to every reader.
George, I0YQV

I'll be operating CW SS from my car. Does anyone have suggestions
regarding how I might log exchange info without endangering myself or
other drivers? Yes, I'll be driving and will be the only one in the car.

Thanks,

Jay/K4OGG

I also have a question related to operating mobile contesting in today's
day of computerized duping.

I may be mobile for SS CW. In 30 hours I can cover a dozen different ARRL
sections. When I work K5ZD for example, I may be in New Mexico. This QSO
shall be normal. When I cross over into Texas, his software will declare I
am a dupe. Am I dupe? I think not. The rules dont seem to address this. The
rules get less detailed every year!

This software shortcoming is what I am referring to. Can CT, TR, and NA be
modified to accomodate this? I wish to work guys over and over again.

What do you think?
