QRP PLUS and Voice Memory Keyers

Hi,

I have this QRP rig and like it very much. However, after using it
several times on contests which required both CW and SSB, I have been reminded
of how useful a voice keyer is to save one's voice.

Have any of you who also use this rig had any experience in connecting
a voice keyer to it? (In particular, I have a DVK-100 - by Neltronics I think.)
The QRP PLUS microphone wiring is a little different than "normal" connectors
as it is set up to use electret type microphones (i.e., MFJ 285W, Icom HM-65).

Also, I have a sporadic problem which appears to be audio feedback.
Once in a awhile when I key the mic (in a quiet room and before I begin
speaking), I get a squeal which actually sounds very much like the CW sidetone
but a good deal louder. The problem is solved by letting go of the mic switch
and then pressing it again. Does anyone have any ideas as to whether the mic
is at fault or the radio?

Here's the press release I got from HRO. Since this thread has limited
contesting content this will be my last posting on the subject.
