[CQ-Contest] Contest calls-ideas......

I would think that in a contest, (or even dxpedition) one would
ALWAYS want to garner the most number of callsigns, so why would you
want to sign the poratable designator AFTER your home call?
Some ops would tune right by you especially if you had no pileup
or a long call. Ie: KA9FOX/TG9 (sorry Scott-hi)
Would it not be prudent to sign "TG9/KA9FOX" so guys tuning by would
pick up on the TG9 part rather than the KA9 part ?
Think Scott had a similar thread going a while back and he even
posted the results on his "extra FB" website too.
Always a great discussion!

FWIW, For IOTA's I usually sign "ve9aa/na154", but for actual DXCC
countries I would sign "CY9/ve9aa" if I didn't have an actual country
call like "cy9aa" issued to me. Every Qso counts, and if one guy
tunes by and only hears your American or Canadian prefix, he may keep
tuning. Something interesting to think about at any rate.
(of course if it's illegal, that's another story.) I admit to not
being "up" on the latest FCC rules with regard to the legal way to
sign portable, only the "best" way for a contest , IMHO.
Keep contesting !
