Gentlemen,
Thank you for all your responses
Here are the results
Against-10
For        -  8
And 5 responses that were in favor of  limitations with reservations 
IE:  Mainly long Contests FOR and shorter ones AGAINST  with 24
hours being the defining line

I received many interesting replies each expressing their views 
for and against.(some quite lengthy).
I was surprised to see the number who responded to my query so fast. 
 I do not want anyone to think I have insulted them by summing
up their response in such simple terms  This seems to be a very hot
issue.
The verdict is still out as it is too close to call.

No matter what the outcome I will be in there giving it my best as I am
sure all of you will be.
