I reported this once before about 3 years ago, but it is similar to some
of
the other humorous moments being reported. This actually hapened to me
while I was still living and contesting from New York.

DX STATION: "QRZ"
PILEUP: buzz buzz
DX STATION: "W4xxx 59 Kilo"
W4xxx: "59 North Carolina"
DX STATION: "QRZ"
Pileup: buzz buzz
DX STATION: "W3xxx 59 Kilo"
W3xxx: "59 Maryland"
DX STATION: "QRZ"

This goes on for about 25 QSOs without the DX station signing his call
as I
grow more and more impatient. Finally I decide to do something.

DX STATION: "QRZ"
ME: "59 NEW YORK"
DX STATION: "The 59 New York, you're 59 Kilo"
ME: "QSL"
DX STATION: "What's your call?"
ME: "I'll tell you my call if you tell me yours"
DX STATION: "I won't tell you! QRZ"

I guess rate is everything.
