[CQ-Contest] OMNI VI vs FT1000MP

 Ok, it's tax time and for once I win. I am getting ready to buy a new radio.
I would like info from folks that have used both the Omni VI and the FT1000MP.
Which radio did you prefer , and why? 

What big drawbacks do each of them have if any? 

Any information that I receive will be relayed upon request.
