[CQ-Contest] WPX CONTEST

Wouldn't it be nice to have a prefix contest where all prefixes are
created equal?

Unfortunately, the CQ WPX contest has this ridiculous country bias
where contacts in your own country are ZERO points, contacts within
one continent (North America) are TWO points, contacts within
the remaining continents are ONE point, and contacts between
continents are THREE points.

What does LOCATION have to do with PREFIXES?

IMHO, this is a STUPID carry over from a foolish CQ WW attempt
to "equalize" continents in the LOCATION BASED CQ WW DX Contest.

Also, IMHO, there should NEVER be any such thing as a ZERO point
contact. This is ridiculous, especially in a PREFIX contest.

There is NO incentive for someone with a rare prefix to call someone
with a common prefix in the same country, and the rare prefix stations
get mobbed by common prefix callers looking for the multiplier, but the
rare prefix station gets no credit for dispensing those contacts.

This is why I have NEVER taken this contest seriously.
