KR2Q brought up a really good point, since those interested in a 24 hour
shootout are indeed excited about leveling the playing field, why wait for
the rules to change, maybe it is not even needed! Quebec stated:

Why wait for a RULES CHANGE? Just DO IT! Both agree to the 24 hours total
time and GO FOR IT!

Since those who are active in the high end competition are all here on
cq-contest we could do a bulletin board so to speak on cq-contest of those
who operated 24 hours.........

If this is insufficient recognition to those competitors I say that their
TRUE goal is not competing with the other big guns it is in the big box
with the 30/36 hour guys.....

AND

What if they did make the big boxes with 24 hours of operation?

Back in the seventies K1JX operated from W1YK for only one of the weekends
of the ARRL DX Test and STILL MADE THE TOP TEN.......wow.

N8BJQ could include a paragraph in the write-up of the results mentioning
the sub-results......

A contest within the contest, the competitors:

Contesters!

How novel!

Mighty Mouse or the Knock Out kid (Trey aint that young anymore, you know
he dropped his novice call!)

I say if there is enough interest amongst the guns for this that they
follow N5KO's lead - and get the rate up!

Don't forget, its:

Less than a month til the Florida QSO Party!
