[CQ-Contest] Attn: Europe

Why is there such poor activity from some parts of Europe in the WAE 
contest?  I noted very little activity from Italy, UK, and Scandinavia.  
For that matter, most of western Europe was poorly represented except for 
the DL's.  

Just curious.  This contest used to be more popular... did it not?
