Thanks for the interesting list of reasons for dupes.
The one I like best is the "propagation" QSO.
When you ask QSO before? the answer is:
 "Yes we worked yesterday, but I heard you calling CQ with no takers,   and I
thought you would like to know that the band is still open".

Lets keep celebrating these openings on 10M!
