Hope everyone had a great NAQP SSB contest...

This past weekend, KA9EKJ operated from here and used my call K4NO
and his name. Over the past year, my call and 3 different names have
been used. In the Jan 97 NAQP's K4NO was Greg in both contest.

In the 97 Aug NAQP's K4NO was Greg for cw and ROD for SSB (KA9EKJ op)

In the 97 Sept SPRINT contest, I operated and was Greg in both cw and ssb.
Someone made the comment during the SSB Sprint "Oh, so your using GREG
this time"

In the 98 Jan NAQP's I operated on CW as Greg and KA9EKJ was ROGER on SSB.

In the cw weekend several guys sent HI ROD after I sent my exhange
which was GREG AL.

During the SSB weekend, I listened for a few minutes and several guys
would say HI GREG and then KA9EKJ would give the exchange ROGER AL..
There were several times that Roger wasn't sure if the other station
logged the correct info. Several times he tried to correct the info
but the other station was gone. This happened on cw as well. There might be several guys with the wrong info logged as the exchange..

With the SPRINTS comming up, its important that we COPY the info
that is sent and not rely on our "Super Check Partial
I copied the callsign I think master databases" With the amount of
log checking that goes on for the sprints (which is a GOOD thing)
You will loose a QSO and maybe a mult (there aint too many Alabama
guys who do the sprints) if you don't listen.

maybe next time, I let Roger use the club call KF4NTH...

Greg K4NO

....maybe AL in ALABAMA next time on CW...
