[CQ-Contest] 2 radios/same band

In the mid/late 70's I was at W2PV operating the second 20m CW
station, sitting next to K1AR operating 20m station #1. I recall
being able to get pretty close to the CQ freq without problems. I
have no idea if and what external filtering was used.

I've personally built an 8 kHz wide 75 meter bandpass filter
and a 29 kHz wide 40 meter BPF using LC filter techniques.
While lossy, I have no trouble hearing the local noise as I
tune across the passband. The 75 meter one doesn't seem to mind
a watt or two of RF from the adjacent channel--I used it in the
last Phone SS while the W1AW bulletins were running across the
parking lot.--Zack W1VT

I thought of writing up the 40M one for QST but putting it in QEX
leaves more room for contest results. No complaints from the QEX
editor!
