[CQ-Contest] Operating mentors needed

Do you want to know how to run rate?  Here are a couple of
suggestions.

Suggestion #1:

Transport yourself in time to the mid-1970's, and listen to K1GQ (then
K2SIL) operating from KH6RS.  No offense to Nose, but Bill was simply
the best there was.  (And still is!  But now he hides in NH).

His trademark was his absolute consistency.  He always came back to
complete calls, and he always simply gave his callsign as a combination
QRZ/confirmation/Identification.  You could set your watch by the time it
took for him to complete a Q.

OK, that suggestion is a little impractical.  So may I suggest:

Suggestion #2:

Buy the WRTC-96 tape and pay attention to the sound track during the
credits.  That's K3LR running, using W6A.  It speaks for itself.

If you need a role model, those two are pretty good.
