Certainly not the TS-940.  Its response to computer polling screws up
the transmitted frequency whenever RIT or XIT (but not both) is active
and is set at a non-zero frequency differential relative to the main
VFO.  So perhaps something similar to the TS-950 might be reasonably
close?
And while he's at it, if he wants to make it a _truly_ perfect rig,
can he make it receive CW on the other sideband?
