[CQ-Contest] Kenwood IF-10B IF-232C for TS-940

Unfortunately, in various equipment moves, it appears that I have
lost/misplaced/left behind the little box the matches an RS-232C cable to a
TS-940.

I vaguely remember that someone wrote up how to implement this interface,
without having to pay Kenwood's huge price for the chips (if you can find
them).

Does anyone have that data around?

I tried a search on the web but came up empty-handed.
