with the usual
"fine details" on the contents page. Tim, what is that logo on the
sweater?

This month's editorial is by K2MGA, and it is not about ham radio. It's
about the last few
weeks of K2EEK's life and some sharp realities, and advice, that should
relate to the aging ham population, including contesters. What happened
to K2EEK was preventable, and as I read the story, I realized that we
have all heard of the same thing happening to others we know -- friends,
relatives, and coworkers. So take Dick's advice and get a checkup before
the upcoming contest season starts. Just look at it as a cost of
preventive maintenance for a piece of your contest station - the
operator. I turned 47 in March, and after much cajoling from the wife, I
got my first checkup in over 10 years. Luckily I'm in good shape except
for the lack of adequate physical exercise and a little too much
cholestrol. I guess I had better go back and reread the recent thread on
contest food/beverages.
