[CQ-Contest] EA Activity in CQWW

Hello All!

        I was reading over the CQWW SSB results in the September 2000 CQ
and had a question for any Spanish members of the reflector.  I noticed
a very high participation level from Spain...even higher than Germany,
France or the UK...all of which have higher populations.  Is anyone aware
if the URE or another organization has done something special to encourage
this level of activity?  If so, perhaps there is a lesson to be learned
from our Spanish friends.  I recall noticing the same thing when looking
at last year's results (1998 contest) so this is not a one-year aberration.
Meanwhile, I'm practicing my Spanish!
